The Alliance for Women Brings National Program to SC Women Business Owners
South Carolina's women business owners had an opportunity to participate in the state's first Make Mine a Million $ Business event for women entrepreneurs, thanks to The Alliance for Women.

Hundreds competed for one of the grand prizes, and one Greenville-based, woman-owned business was named a winner. Kristie Byrum, President and CEO of The Byrum Innovation Group, Inc., (
www.byruminnovation.com) was selected as a 2008 winner of the Make Mine a Million $ Business Program. She was the only South Carolina winner.
The Alliance for Women seeks to introduce national programs to South Carolina women business owners. Make Mine a Million $ Business™ (
www.makemineamillion.org) is a program of Count Me In for Women's Economic Independence. It is the only national initiative committed to the growth needs of post-start-up, women-owned businesses with less than $1 million in annual revenues.
The Alliance for Women believes that entrepreneurship is often a person's best chance for economic independence. While South Carolina has a number of exciting programs which create access to capital for entrepreneurs, women haven't historically taken advantage of those opportunities. The Alliance for Women is proud to support Make Mine a Million and bring new opportunities to South Carolina's women entrepreneurs.
