Date: October 27, 2010
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The South Carolina Women’s Summit is an invitational meeting of 150 women leaders from each county in South Carolina. Patterned after the Philadelphia Women’s Way Summit, the South Carolina Women’s Summit will engage women in identifying significant issues to share with the incoming governor and to serve as the basis of a legislative agenda for women. Business leaders, political leaders and community leaders will join together in a structured, collaborative process to prioritize the issues that can make a difference in the lives of South Carolina women, families and communities.
A force for change for South Carolina women, The Alliance for Women is a non partisan public private partnership between the Governor’s Office and Columbia College. Recognizing that all issues are women’s issues, the Alliance’s sole purpose is to improve the status of women and thus the quality of life of all South Carolina citizens.
The Summit will begin at 10 a.m. at Columbia College. Summit outcomes will be developed into comprehensive recommendations signed by all participants. The report will be shared with the incoming governor and the legislative women’s caucus.
There is no registration fee for participation, but registration is necessary as seating is limited. You may register online.
